(NICOLAEVSKY, Boris I.)

New York: Rand School Press, (1937). Small 8vo. Wraps. 62 p. Very good. [41990] (show more)

Price: $22.50

Written anonymously by Nicolaevsky, a Russian Menshevik exile, based on conversations he had with Nikolai Bukharin in Paris in 1936. Bukharin was at that time a member of a Soviet delegation which negotiated for the transfer of the German Social Democratic Party archives, then in Nicolaevsky's possession, to the Marx-Engels-Lenin Institute in Moscow. Their conversations about the Kirov assassination and the first Moscow Trial formed the basis of this pamphlet, which in turn became an important document in the prosecution of Bukharin in the so-called "Case of the Anti-Soviet 'Bloc of Rights and Trotskyites'" in 1938.
