Report!: Sandersville, Georgia

Belmont, Mass.: The News of the Review, ca. 1969. 12mo. Wraps. 8 p. [8117]

The black population of this central Georgia town had been terrorized by a "black revolutionary organization called the Southern Christian Leadership Conference," who were enforcing a boycott of the local business district with intimidation and arson. According to McManus: "So completely has the terror touched every home in the county that the entire black population there found itself forbidden to put up Christmas trees, or to celebrate Christmas in any way." However, an interracial group, under the leadership of the John Birch Society, saves the day and denies victory to S.C.L.C. and its Communist masters.
