Each leaf represents a week and contains an illustration & text of a "Dere Mable" letter. Streeter's compilation of these humorous letters of Bill, the "rookie" soldier to his girl back home, published under the title of "Dere Mable," was one of the biggest-selling American books about The Great War. This calendar by contrast is quite scarce. No copy is located in OCLC.
