Contains a photograph taken by the author of Gloria Goddard and Clement Wood playing croquet. The caption reads: "Nothing is better than a picture of a friend, but choose the viewpoint carefully. Here, a low angle makes the action of the game and the post of the subjects seem natural. Tapping the ball through the wicket is Author Clement Wood, His wife, Gloria Goddard, also an author, waits her turn." Wood's pencilled note referring to the photo, "gg & cw 55," appears on the end paper.
