To All Unemployed! Attend the Trial of Tex Massey in the City Hall, Redondo Beach, Monday, July 24th, 10 A.M

[Los Angeles]: Relief Workers Protective Union, ca. 1933. 6 x 8 1/2 in. Broadside. Minor wear; else very good. [94116]

"Massey, a young worker, was fired without cause" and was subsequently taunted by his boss & called "yellow," which was too much for him. He swung & "gave Malory [the boss] a right to the jaw and laid him out." Workers are urged to go to his trial because a "big attendance will teach the bosses that we cannot be handled like cattle." The leaflet concludes: "Fight for a decent standard of living or you will be reduced to the level of Chinese coolies"
