Contains the "Resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU on the Opera 'Great Friendship' by V. Muradeli, February 10, 1948." The resolution condemned the opera while noting, in the words of this pamphlet's preface, that its "artistic shortcomings were a manifestation of certain unfortunate trends prevalent in Soviet music." Also included is a "Discussion at a Meeting of the Union of Soviet Composers" which includes the statements of Vano Muradeli, Dmitri Shostakovish, Sergei Prokofiev & Aram Khachaturian abjectly confessing their errors.
