Moscow: Foreign Languages Publishing House, 1941. 8vo. Wraps. 7 p. Stamp of the Peoples Bookshop in Johannesburg on the front cover. Very good. [66825]
Anti-Nazi tract published after the German invasion of the Soviet Union. It begins: "These wretched degenerates of history, as Maxim Gorky aptly called the German fascists, these pot-house frequenters, these perpetrators of nearly every crime committed in Germany in recent years, these brigands who have usurped power and evoked universal derision by calling themselves 'National-Socialists,' have for several years already been engineering one bloody shambles after another" and ends: "The crafty and unscrupulous foe cannot escape the hand of the Soviet people and their mighty and formidable Red Army. Every blow will be avenged by ten. The fascist monster will be crushed!"
