With a SIGNED post card from Friess laid in. Friess writes: "I suggest that you come to 401 Low Library about two p.m. on Thursday, and take the examination from, 2 to 4, so as to be able to go the the Spinoza party after that. I hope this will be satisfactory." A pencilled note from the recipient on the verso states: "Party was in Q Library. I met S. L. Miller, who had just had some hand (I think) in acquiring Friedenthal / Gebhardt Sp. Coll. for Col. U. Later I corresponded with M. & talked about Sp. at his NYC apt. He died a few yrs. later"
