Murphy is identified as on his card as "Chairman, Libraries and Museums Committee, Edinburgh Corporation." The clipping, dated November 14, 1974, concerns the first salmon found in the Thames since 1833. The plot of this novel concerns a "mudlark" who netted the last Salmon on London river.
