The Negroes in a Soviet America

Belmont, Mass.: American Opinion, ca. 1960s. 12mo. Wraps. 46 p. Seidman F190. Fine. [39368]

This edition, issued by an arm of the John Birch Society, reprints the 1945 edition of the National Economic Council which in turn reprinted the original 1935 Workers Library Publishers edition. "The communist program for the Negro in the mid-1930's. The depressed status of the Negro on the farm and in the city is contrasted with the communist ideal of self-determination of Negroes in the Black Belt and a proletarian revolution in the rest of the country. The pamphlet tells how a Soviet U. S. and a Soviet Negro republic will complement each other" - Seidman.
